Default Has anyone had a problem legally in the past 6 months?

I feel very lucky and have not had any legal problems lately with a patient or an insurance company. Has anyone had any legal issues in the past 6 months? If so, what have they been? Could you have done anything to avoid the situation?

Yes have been sued for Invisalign... patient came in at first wanting "straight teeth". Sent in clin check to invisalign, patient approved and loved her results.... during the course of invisalign towards the end, patient all of a sudden mentioned the word "overjet" indicating that she had gone somewhere else that had said that she's not getting her over jet fixed. She transferred over her records to another dr, meanwhile suing my office 100k, b/c she supposedly...
1. choked during impressions
2. didn't have her over jet fixed
3. didn't understand recontouring (she freaked out during recontouring stages)
4. didn't get her retainer in time.

Honestly, w/ the economy being the way it is, be careful and pre-screen patients. This patient was in her mid twenties, going through financial difficulty and was getting married. This fits all the criteria for the type of person to "sue".
